Dr. John H. Sudduth, D.V.M. OWNER AND HOSPITAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Sudduth knew early in his life that he wanted to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. At age seven he was accumulating old college texts and his first patient was his beloved family pet, Skippy, a beagle, who in spite of his exams survived to a ripe old age!
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Northern Colorado in 1973. Continuing to pursue Veterinary Medicine, he was accepted at Colorado State University and graduated in 1977. While attending CSU School of Veterinary Medicine, he was awarded a full-ride health professions scholarship through the military forces. Upon graduating Dr. Sudduth spent six years at Letterman Hospital in San Francisco and SHAPE in Mons Belgium. Returning to Colorado, he began practice on Garden of the Gods Road and later built the Northwest Plaza, where Northwest Animal Hospital is located. He continued his military career as an IMA, traveling to Walter Reed in Washington D.C. each year. Dr. Sudduth is also a retired LTC in the Army reserve. Today, having practiced veterinary medicine for over 30 years Dr. Sudduth brings a wealth of experience to the practice. He is a member of the Colorado Academy as a member/scholar a distinction for whom less than 1% of Colorado Veterinarians belong. He has been happily married to his wife, Lori, for many years. They have a daughter Michelle, a son Aaron, a daughter-in-law Stacey, and one granddaughter, Julia. The family has had several pets over the years and currently shares their home with Symba, a Yorkie, and Quincy, a Sheltie.
Dr. Vicki Wynn, D.V.M.
A graduate of OSU, Dr. Wynn entered private practice in Oklahoma before assuming a position at the Oklahoma State University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Joining Northwest Animal Hospital in 2005, Dr. Wynn brings her knowledge and expertise in medicine and surgery to the Colorado Springs community. Appointments with Dr. Wynn can be made through the regular hospital phone number.
